Gillian Kaye Peebles

INTERNATIONAL AWARD WINNING ARTIST: Gillian is a multi award winning artist who has exhibited successfully at international level. She won the ‘Silver Medal’ and ‘Peoples Choice’ in the prestigious ‘International Caterina de Medici Painting Award’ in Florence, Italy. Her artworks are housed in numerous Private, Public and a Saudi Royal collection. She is an established marine artist and was the ‘Official-Artist’ for the ‘Kookaburra Syndicate’ during the America’s Cup’ working in Australia and America and later guest artist aboard Cousteau’s boat ‘Alcyone’.

DOCUMENTATION: Gillian’s art has taken her all over the world and her achievements are well documented in numerous publications, reference works and directories.

QUALIFIED INTERNATIONAL ADJUDICATOR OF VISUAL ARTS: Gillian was the guest artist of the Royal Academy of Arts in London for courses and research into the Adjudication of Visual Arts and Exhibition Procedures in Artistic Studies. Her efforts were rewarded with acknowledgements and Certificates. As a result of these studies Gillian’s own artwork covers an extensive range of Categories and Styles as she keeps updated in international trends. Gillian has twice adjudicated Australia’s leading Camberwell Art Prize once as Co-Adjudicator to Royal Portrait artist, Richard Stone then in 2003 as the appointed Senior Judge and Chairperson of the judging panels.

OF INTEREST: Gillian established and jointly owned the very popular ‘A-Shed Gallery Restaurant’ on Victoria Quay, Fremantle. She is also acknowledged with having established many of W. A’s currently held annual exhibitions. Gillian is a well sort after Guest Speaker, Tutor and Workshop facilitator. Her community contribution includes sitting on Government Cultural Boards and Panels. Gillian is available for Commissioned Artworks and Job Appointments.
