QUALIFICATIONS: After completion of year 12 studies, Jason went on to study Theatre Set Design with the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Later, after leaving the Royal Australian Navy he moved to the Gold Coast where attained a Diploma in Graphic Design. ARTIST: Jason has an interest and passion for the arts ever since high school. Since youth he has constantly painted and sketched. With a burning desire to travel, a yearning to expand on life’s experiences, and grow as an individual, Jason left his studies and joined the Royal Australian Navy. Jason served aboard the HMAS Darwin during the East Timor crisis and the Westralia during the ill-fated fire incident. As Jason explains, “I probably received more in the way of extreme experiences than I ever anticipated”. After his honourable discharge from the Defence Force, he moved to the Gold Coast where he returned to his art interests and artistic studies, his efforts being rewarded with a Diploma. During all this activity Jason continued to paint in his spare time. Other than Visual Arts, Jason also explores the musical side of Performing arts getting satisfaction out of the joint artistic interactions. He is an accomplished scuba diver, energetic bike rider and loves spending quality time with his two sons.
CATEGORIES & SUBJECTS: In addition to Jason’s full time work in an unrelated industry, he does freelance design work comprising of business cards, letterheads, logos, photo retouching and posters. MEDIA: Jason’s media choices are directed by the artwork at hand swapping from traditional Media and Mediums such as Acrylics and Oils to the challenging components required in contemporary Graphic Design. His ever expanding business is challenging his personal endeavours with digital imagery.
