QUALIFICATIONS: Mary Ann has many ‘strings to her bow’ and numerous qualifications to justify a varied and full life. The following are just some: She is a registered nurse, still practising - has studied Arts at Tafe - and has university degrees in Cultural Studies and Sociology -she has taught religious education to children for some twenty one years - and tutored adults on subjects such as Parenting, Sleep Functioning and Discovering Self Talents.

AS AN ARTIST: Mary Ann is one of those adoring people that truly live Art as part of everyday life. Often you will find a flower adorning her hair or colourful cloths of varying textures and tones. She is vibrant and caring of all art forms and holds a deep appreciation of the contribution that Art brings to society. She has lived in Rockingham for the last fourteen years, the longest stay in any one place. Since settling she has learnt to love the area inclusive of its people, environments and picturesque scenery. She loves the beaches, shoreline walks and her favourite place Penguin Island. Her every day a mind filled listings of places to go and things to do.
She Lists

  • I have been interested in the creative expression of ‘art’ since forever
  • I have delved into many art forms
  • I have experienced extensive clay work
  • I enjoy abstract painting
  • I especially think of possible installations which I have exhibited and plan more
  • I have been an art curator of various successful art exhibitions
  • Have rediscovered photography which I consider an my art form

MEDIA: Mary Ann has the ability to turn her hand to most Media but for the moment has decided to work in photography. She often formats ‘creations within creations’ such as painting a face then imaging a photograph of the result, the photograph being the Fine Art (see below)

ARTWORK: Mary Ann’s photography is often featured in display and competitive exhibition. She is found capturing a movement or a splash of colour as she moves through crowds, recording events. She somehow managed to make ‘action’ shots look still, and ‘Still life’ and ‘Tranquillity’ full of movement. Commissions and appointments welcomed. (Below, enjoy captured images)
